AirBNB have recently announced that the Bran Castle, more poularly known as Dracula’s Castle, in Transylvania, Romania, will be listed as a special getaway for Halloween.
Two lucky guests will be allowed to spend the night inside the landmark, hosted by Dacre Stoker – great grand-newphew of DRACULA author Bram Stoker. The two guests will be immersed in the story of DRACULA’s protagonist, Jonathan Harker, and will even travel to the fortress in a horse-drawn carriage!
Says Stoker: “Bran Castle is where the legend of Dracula was born, and I have many stories to share as I guide the guests through the dark secret passages of the castle for a private unveiling of its many mysteries. Bram Stoker included many references to real people and real historical anecdotes and questioned whether vampires are really a myth at all.” Guests will also get a candlelit dinner and will sleep in “luxurious velvet-trimmed coffins” ALONE. The next morning the guests will be treated to breakfast on the castle’s terrace overlooking Transylvania.
