‘Raven’s Home’ on the Disney Channel has just made history by introducing the show’s first ever out trans-character!
In the latest episode of ‘Raven’s Home’ titled ‘The Fierce Awakens’ – Raven interviews different candidates to be her assistant as she begins a new career in fashion and in her new studio space.
The candidate who ends up getting the unpaid job is named Nikki who is played by Juliana Joel, who is an out trans person just like the character. Juliana shared on her Instagram page alongside a photo of the script/production notes: “1st out Trans character on Disney Channel? I can finally share that I’ve joined the season 5 cast of Raven’s Home on Disney Channel!” Take a look below and let us know what you think!
