38-year-old former ‘Quantico’ star Priyanka Chopra is opening up about being bullied in high school!
In her upcoming memoir set for release on February 9 2021, titled ‘Unfinished’ – Priyanka talks about being Indian and attending high school in America. She says she was bullied so much that she actually left the US and continued high school in her native India. Chopra says in an interview with People Magazine: “I took it very personally. Deep inside, it starts gnawing at you. I went into a shell. I was like, ‘Don’t look at me. I just want to be invisible.’ My confidence was stripped. I’ve always considered myself a confident person, but I was very unsure of where I stood, of who I was.”
In her memoir, Priyanka says that her classmates would tell her things like: “Brownie, go back to your country!” and “Go back on the elephant you came on!” She writes that she even spoke to her guidance counselor but that was of no help. “I was so blessed that when I went back to India, I was surrounded by so much love and admiration for who I was. Going back to India healed me after that experience in high school…” Read Priyanka Chopra’s full People interview here and let us know: WILL YOU GET UNFINISHED ON FEBURARY 9?
