33-year-old ‘Precious’ actress Gabourey Sidibe once exercised her talents over the phone…as a PHONE-SEX OPERATOR!
Sidibe opens up about her deviant history in her new memoir ‘This Is Just My Face Try Not to Stare’ in which she writes: “I was 21, couldn’t afford to go to school, and couldn’t get a job.”
She writes that her therapist suggested she go into the telemarketing field in order to earn money; Sidibe writes: “As soon as my therapist suggested ‘telemarketing,’ I heard ‘phone sex.’ If a caller liked you enough to request you by name, you made $2 before you said hello.” The ‘Precious’ star says that being a night-call operator isn’t as bad as many may think; she recalls: “I’ve had acting roles that I felt demeaned me as much if not more than the phone sex calls.” Sidibe’s new book ‘This is Just My Face’ hits bookstores on May 1!
