It’s been almost two decades since Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas were a thing back in their Disney Channel days, but Nick decided to take a stroll down memory lane during the Jonas Brothers’ Broadway residency. And boy, did he bring the heat!
Nick grabbed his guitar and serenaded the crowd with the 2009 duet he and Miley sang called “Before The Storm.” The fans went wild and sang along, making it a night to remember. It was the first time Nick performed the song in over a decade, which is longer than most marriages these days!
But let’s not forget that Nick is a married man now. He tied the knot with Priyanka Chopra, who’s 10 years older than Miley, proving that age is just a number. Nick still couldn’t help but gush over his ex-girlfriend, though. In a 2019 interview, he said that Miley is a “real singer” and that “Before The Storm” is his favorite Jonas Brothers song. He even said he knew Miley was a talented singer when she was just 16 years old! Talk about a blast from the past.
Miley and Nick’s relationship may have ended in 2007, but Miley still holds a special place in her heart for Nick. She referred to him as her “first love” in her book, Miles To Go, and even wrote a song about him called “7 Things.” In a recent post, Miley shared a photo of Nick covered by a scribbled Post-It note, along with a passage from her book about the song. She said that she wrote “7 Things” out of anger, but it ended up being a love story. Who would’ve thought?
All in all, it seems like Miley and Nick have moved on from their teenage romance and are happy in their own lives. Nick is happily married, and Miley is making some killer music. Who knows, maybe they’ll collaborate again in the future and make some more bops! But until then, we’ll just have to jam out to “Before The Storm” and reminisce about the good old days.
