NASA is coming for 44-year-old ‘Sliding Doors’ actress Gwyneth Paltrow for duping customers on her website GOOP.
Paltrow has recently been hawking ‘wellness stickers’ that supposedly feature “a crystalline, carbonized radio-frequency material.” Gwyneth says that the stickers will “fill in the deficiencies in your reserves, creating a calming effect, smoothing out both physical tension and anxiety.”
NASA however says ‘uh-uh-no-no’ with Mark Shelhamer – a former scientist in NASA’s human division – saying in a statement: “Wow. What a load of BS this is. Not only is the whole premise like snake oil, the logic doesn’t even hold up If they promote healing, why do they leave marks on the skin when they are removed?” Gwen also says on her site that the stickers are made from NASA space-suit material, which NASA of course doesn’t agree with. The stickers retail on GOOP for $120 for a set of 24.
