Cupid’s got nothing on Madonna this Valentine’s Day!
The Queen of Pop, the High Priestess of Reinvention, the Mother of All Pop Stars (sorry, kids, she did it first) has blessed our timelines with some juicy news: new music is on the way—and it’s looking like a sequel to her legendary 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor.
In a dramatic, emoji-heavy social media post, Madonna declared:
“My Valentine’s Day present to all my fans is to let you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music and I can’t wait to share it with you!! 🩷🩵🩶🤍🩷🩵🩶. Confessions Part 2.”
Translation: Put on your disco boots and prepare to sweat, because Queen Madge is about to make you dance for your LIFE.
The post was accompanied by a video montage of Madonna in the studio with none other than Stuart Price—the mastermind producer behind Confessions on a Dance Floor and the man who probably knows her better than her own reflection.
She’s Been Cooking This Up for a While!
Madonna had already teased us back in 2024, when she revealed she’d been deep in the studio with Stuart Price. At the time, she dramatically declared:
“Working on new music with Stuart Price these past few months has been medicine for my SOUL. Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. i’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025! 🎄🎹🤶🏻”
Yes, that’s right—she casually announced it with Christmas emojis. Because Madonna doesn’t play by your seasonal rules.
What’s Next?
If this is indeed a full studio album, it will be Madonna’s first since 2019’s Madame X—a record where she played a mysterious, globe-trotting, eye-patch-wearing musical chameleon. (We still don’t know what Madame X’s job actually was, but she seemed VERY busy.)
So, prepare yourselves, because Confessions Part 2 is coming. Will it be disco? Will it be electronic? Will Madonna somehow invent a whole new genre of music that makes us question our entire existence? Who knows! But one thing’s for sure: we are READY.
