This week, the universe decided it was time for a lil’ Pretty Little Liars reunion when Lucy Hale, Sasha Pieterse, and Ashley Benson accidentally bumped into each other at a fancy Max Mara event on Wednesday, October 23. Plot twist: No one was even looking for “A”! They were all there to celebrate Joey King snagging the 2024 WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award. (Joey, girl, congrats—welcome to the future, we hope there’s good Wi-Fi.)
Surprise Encounters and Instagram Shenanigans
Lucy Hale, the queen of photogenic surprises, posted a snap of the impromptu meetup on Instagram with the caption, “I’ll just leave this right here…” Talk about a digital mic drop. Ian Harding, a.k.a. Ezra Fitz and her on-screen heartthrob, slid into the comments with peak sarcasm saying, “So beautiful, wait… how do you all know each other again?” Someone give this man a slow clap for the perfect comment. 👏
Meanwhile, PLL creator I. Marlene King chimed in with all the wholesome feels: “Family reunion ❤️ #PLLfamily.” You know it’s real when even the creator shows up for a nostalgia trip.
Lucy Spills the Reunion Tea
The next day, Lucy got chatty with People about the magical mini-reunion. “I mean, you walk into these events, and it’s like a random bingo of celebrities—so you’re always hoping it’s the good kind of surprise and not like, your dentist.” She went on to say, “First, I saw Sasha, and I was like, okay, cool, one friend down. Then bam! There’s Ashley too. It was basically a PLL jackpot!”
Lucy was clearly vibing hard, adding, “I love those girls, and any chance we get to be in the same place, it’s like the stars align. We’ve been talking about doing a proper reunion for years now. This one was more of a ‘drive-by-hug-and-snap-a-photo’ situation, but hey, it made my night.”
Baby Talk—Literally
As if this reunion wasn’t cute enough, Lucy dished that the trio managed to squeeze in some real-life talk—specifically about Sasha and Ashley’s adorable kiddos. (Yes, two of your faves are now momming like champs!) “It’s wild to think we were scheming against ‘A’ just a few years ago, and now they’re changing diapers and making snack plates,” Lucy joked.
A quick PLL reunion that left us all wanting more. No murder mysteries, no cryptic texts, just a night full of friendship, fashion, and fun-sized conversations. Now, if only we could get a reunion episode where they all just gossip about daycare drop-offs and PTA drama—now that would be some must-watch TV.
