Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford Bids Farewell to Married to Medicine After Two Seasons – The Tea’s Gone Cold!

Buy Me A Coffee

Well, the saga of Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford on Married to Medicine has come to a splashy end! And no, she’s not leaving to open a lemonade stand (though, with a name like Sweet Tea, that would make sense). During an Instagram livestream on Tuesday (May 6), Sweet Tea dropped the bombshell that she’s exiting the show after just two seasons. And spoiler alert: it wasn’t exactly her choice, but more of a “well, here we are” situation.

When a fan gave the classic “we’re glad you’re leaving because the other ladies were foul” comment, Sweet Tea didn’t miss a beat. “It definitely was foul,” she said, throwing in a couple of side-eye emojis for effect. (OK, so no surprise there, the ladies can be spicy.)

But hold on, Sweet Tea wasn’t done spilling. “I was gonna let my fans figure out what was going on,” she said, adding that, despite all the drama, she’s *never* been a quitter. “I’m not a quitter! Never! Never ran away from anyone!” she declared. Clearly, Sweet Tea’s got a more stubborn streak than a kid refusing to share their candy.

However, in classic Sweet Tea fashion, she ended on a note of optimism. “There are better things in store for me,” she said, probably looking forward to a life free from the constant drama of reality TV. “That platform was what it was, but I think God’s got something better, and I’m on the right path.” (And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to be on the right path when it involves less camera time and more peace?)

For those who might have missed it, Lateasha joined Married to Medicine in Season 10 as Dr. Greg Lunceford’s wife. Of course, there was that whole “previously married to OG star Quad Webb” thing, which gave major side-eye energy from both ladies. Drama, darling, drama.

But alas, Sweet Tea’s goodbye is officially as sweet as her name. Let’s just hope she can sip some calm tea in the next chapter—without any cameras watching her every move.
