Kate Middleton is back with a bang and a brand-new project, all while taking cues from her charming hubby, Prince William. That’s right, the Duchess is diving into her first official gig since sharing the news of her early-stage cancer treatment, and it’s all about farmers’ mental health. Who knew tractors and therapy could be such a dynamic duo?
Kate, never one to shy away from the limelight, dropped a teaser for a short film that’s all about the mental health challenges faced by Britain’s hardworking farmers. And where did this juicy tidbit appear? On the ever-so-regal social media accounts of The Duke and Duchess of Wales, of course.
In celebration of Mental Health Week, Princess Kate is rolling out the red carpet for this heartwarming project. She’s joined forces with the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will to create a film that’s as touching as it is necessary.
In a post worthy of a double-tap, she wrote: “This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film. Spending a day together on Sam’s farm in Hereford they chatted about mental health in the farming community, finding support and the Duchy of Cornwall’s Mental Health Strategy.”
Grab your popcorn, because the full film is now streaming on YouTube. While the Princess of Wales herself doesn’t make a cameo, you can bet she and Prince William were the masterminds behind the scenes. Move over, Spielberg!
Meanwhile, over on the Isles of Scilly, William gave a status update worthy of a royal press release: Kate is “doing well” in her recovery. Huzzah!
In other royal news, it’s time to break out the confetti and commemorative plates—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating six whole years of marital bliss. For those not in the know, Harry and Meghan said their “I dos” at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, 2018, after a whirlwind romance that had the tabloids working overtime.
A royal roundup with a side of mental health awareness. Now, if only there were a way to combine all this with corgis and tea, we’d have the perfect British trifecta.
