A paparazzo in New York City is SUING 38-year-old ‘Sing’ actress Jennifer Hudson for posting a paparazzo pic on her Instagram page; that he alleges she did without permission!
Fernando Ramales took a photo of Hudson wearing a pink blazer and stilettos in Dec 2019 and the picture was purchased by a client in the publishing business. A few days later Hudston posted the same pic on her Instagram page, and went so far as to remove Romales’ watermark on the pic. Hudson captioned her repost: “Me walking out of 2019 into 2020 like ….just as grateful as I can be ! Thank u Lord for all you’ve done for me ! I hope u all find your joy in the new year !” The ‘stolen’ pic is still viewable on Hudson’s Instagram page.
Ramales is claiming copyright infringement and is suing Hudson for $175,000 in addition to lawyer fees. Ramales’ lawyer says: “More and more celebrities are using social media to reach out to their fans to promote their brand by using photographs. But Ms. Hudson and her company did not get the proper permissions to use the photograph, and they also cropped out the photographer’s watermark identifying him as the copyright holder. You simply can’t do that.” Let us know: DO YOU REALLY THINK JENNIFER HUDSON SHOULD BE SUED FOR REPOSTING A PHOTO OF HERSELF???
