‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ star Jen Shah has requested a reduced prison sentence after pleading guilty to committing wire fraud.
Shah’s plea agreement suggests 14-years in the slammer, however Shah is now requesting three years in prison.
Shah’s lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, wrote in a submission that was filed this past Friday: “We submit that such a sentence is just and fair because it takes into account Ms. Shah’s history and characteristics, the facts and circumstances of the offense, and meets that a court impose a sentence that is ‘not greater than necessary’ to achieve the goals of punishment.” Several reasons are listed for suggesting that Shah should receive a reduced sentence, such as one that Shah never had any “direct contact” with the victims” and her “history and characteristics” align with the reduced sentencing being requested.
