66-year-old ‘O, That’s Good’ namesake Oprah Winfrey is coming to the defense of super-close gal-pal GAYLE KING! On NBC’s ‘Today With Hoda and Jenna,’ Oprah cried while saying about Gayle: “She is not doing well. May I say, she is not doing well because, she now has death threats and has to now travel with security. She’s feeling very much attacked.”
Earlier last week, 65-year-old King did an interview with Lisa Leslie on ‘CBS This Morning’ about the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant. She however made the mistake of focusing on sexual-abuse allegations Kob faced in 2003! Upset fans and the public then attacked Gayle for dishonoring Kobe so soon after his death; so much so that Oprah says that Gayle has had to beef up her security after Snoop Dogg shared a video about Gayle’s interview on his INstagram page.
Oprah revealed on ‘Today With Hoda and Jenna:’ “I think the vitriol … anybody can criticize anything, but the misogynist vitriol and the attacking to the point where it is dangerous to be in the streets alone because it’s not just the people who are attacking. It’s the people who take that message and feel like they can do whatever they want to because of it.” Gayle has since kept mum about the interview, with a source claiming: “She does not want to contribute to the vitriol. She’s not OK and she really feels like CBS kind of threw her under the bus with this. This was not handled well and they really let her down.” Take a look at Oprah defending her closest gal-pal below, as well as Snoop Dogg’s public post about Gayle, and let us know: DO YOU THINK GAYLE KING DESERVES ALL THE VITRIOL SHE’S RECEIVING?
