Jesy Nelson had an emotional breakdown while looking back on her wild ride in the music biz—because nothing says “rock star” like a good ol’ sob session.
The ex-Little Mix diva has joined forces with her beau Zion Foster to drop a new jam called ‘Mine,’ just as she’s made her grand reappearance after a dramatic disappearing act.
Since she exited the girl group before it officially threw in the towel in 2021, Jesy’s solo adventure has been a bit of a soap opera. What kicked off with a flashy hit single ‘Boyz’ featuring Nicki Minaj soon took a nosedive faster than a teenager’s self-esteem after a bad hair day—thanks to some seriously shady “blackfishing” claims.
She split from her major label faster than you can say “bad breakup,” and embarked on an indie solo trek—releasing precisely one song before this new track. That’s right, guys. One.
Now, Jesy, who’s 33 and ready to prove she’s still got it, is out there promoting her comeback like a pro. During a fan Q&A, she let the waterworks flow and spilled her musical tea.
Chatting live with her dedicated fan club, Jesy admitted:
“I’m feeling all the feels. You guys have no idea how much your support means to me. Honestly, I was on the verge of ditching music and just chillin’ on a beach somewhere. Zion and I went globetrotting, and I was in such a dark place, I just wanted to disappear. But it’s your love that makes me want to keep going.”
