First Photos From ‘Borderland’ Starring Cate Blanchett Revealed

We’ve got our first peek at Cate Blanchett kicking butt and taking names in the upcoming Borderlands movie!

Picture this: Lilith, played by the one and only Blanchett, is a notorious treasure hunter with a past so mysterious, it’s got its own fan club. Now, she’s dragged back to her home planet of Pandora, not for a cozy family reunion, but to track down the daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramírez), who’s apparently the big cheese of the whole darn universe. Talk about pressure, huh? But Lilith’s not in this alone; she’s roped into an adventure of cosmic proportions alongside a bunch of misfits that make the Scooby Gang look like a bunch of straight-laced accountants.

First up, we’ve got Roland (Kevin Hart), once the poster child for military greatness, now desperately searching for some kind of redemption. Then there’s Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a pint-sized wrecking ball with a penchant for blowing stuff up before bedtime. And let’s not forget Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s hulking, verbally challenged bodyguard. Rounding out the crew, we’ve got Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the brains of the operation who’s probably seen more weird stuff than anyone should in ten lifetimes. Oh, and did we mention Claptrap (Jack Black), the robot with sass levels off the charts?

Together, this motley crew must face off against alien beasties and bandits with more guns than common sense, all in the name of finding and protecting this missing girl who’s apparently the key to more power than you can shake a loot crate at. Talk about a high-stakes game of hide-and-seek, huh? But hey, it’s not just about saving the universe – it’s about finding some unexpected friendships along the way. Cue the group hug!

Behind the camera, we’ve got Eli Roth calling the shots, and if anyone knows how to mix blood, guts, and giggles, it’s him. Plus, he’s teamed up with Craig Mazin to whip up a screenplay that’s sure to have you laughing, crying, and occasionally ducking for cover.
