Elon Musk and his aerospace company SpaceX are flying two private citizens OUT OF THIS WORLD!
To the Moon specifically and the two spots have already been secured by individuals who have already provided a “significant deposit” (according to the company). The two are set to undergo severe fitness tests and training to spend one week on the Moon aboard the company’s spacecraft, the DRAGON.
According to a public statement by SpaceX: “Like the Apollo astronauts before them, these individuals will travel into space carrying the hopes and dreams of all humankind, driven by the universal human spirit of exploration.” It further adds that the project isn’t a one-off and they plan to see more and more people travel out into space! Musk said in a conference: “Next year is going to be a big year for carrying people to the space station and hopefully beyond.” To read more head to SpaceX here.
