38-year-old NBA star Dwayne Wade goes COMPLETELY NUDE in his new documentary for ESPN: ‘D. Wade: Life Unexpected.’ Wade retired from the NBA in April 2019 and a clip from the documentary shows Wade in the locker room on his last day.
The documentary was filmed by Wade’s close friend over the span of A WHOLE DECADE, and Dwayne said at an advanced screening of the documentary last night in New York: “These are other people’s stories and other people’s lives that’s a part of yours and a lot of these things happened so long ago, you gotta bring them back … you have to relive it all again, so I have so many people to thank.”
Dwayne’s wife, 47-year-old ‘Love & Basketball’ actress Gabrielle Union, is featured throughout the documentary which also touches on Dwayne’s custody battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. Dwayne and Gabrielle’s 12-year-old transgender daughter is also featured, with Dwayne saying of his decision to include Zaya’s transition: “I struggled on how much I wanted to talk about it in the doc. I actually didn’t talk about it a lot, but I knew if I put it in the doc at all, it would be a big conversation … We struggled with what people would say about a 12-year-old making a decision about her life. But we also know our child. We’ve been through so many different things that other people and other families go through and they thank us for speaking out on it…” Watch a trailer for ‘D.
