Oh boy, have you heard about Hugh Grant’s interview with Ashley Graham at the 2023 Oscars? It was a bit of a disaster, to say the least. Hugh answered most of Ashley’s questions with one-word answers, leaving fans scratching their heads.
But wait, there’s more! Ashley had some choice words about the interview too. Drama, drama, drama.
Enter Drew Barrymore, who’s come to Hugh’s defense. During the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew spilled the tea on Hugh’s true personality. Apparently, grumpiness is just his way of showing love. Who knew?
According to Drew, “You think you’re getting this charming movie star and what you really get is grumpy Hugh. And then you fall in love with grumpy Hugh.” Um, excuse me, what? I’m sorry, Drew, but I don’t think anyone falls in love with grumpiness. Unless, of course, you’re a cat. Maybe that’s what Drew meant.
But wait, there’s more! Drew also revealed that Hugh is actually hilarious and a good human being. Well, color me surprised. I always thought he was just a grumpy old man.
And if that wasn’t enough, Drew also talked about Hugh’s comments on her singing skills. Apparently, he called her singing “horrendous.” Ouch. But Drew took it all in stride, saying, “I love you for the real you.” Girl, you are too nice. I would have thrown a shoe at him.
