Demi Lovato is making their directorial debut with Hulu, and it’s going to be a hoot and a half!
The pop star-turned-filmmaker is teaming up with the streaming service to create a documentary called Child Star, which is set to be released in 2024. It’s all about the lives of some of the world’s most famous former child stars, and Demi conducted interviews with the subjects themselves!
We don’t know who the child stars are yet, but we’re sure they’ll spill some juicy deets. After all, who better to talk about the ups and downs of growing up in the public eye than someone who’s been there themselves?
In a statement, Demi said that this story is close to home and that they’re excited to shed light on important messages about protecting our boundaries and becoming advocates for our own destinies. Sounds like a real hootenanny!
And it seems like Hulu is just as excited as we are. Belisa Balaban, SVP of documentaries and unscripted series at Hulu Originals, said that Demi’s first-hand experience and personal connections with some of the featured talent make this documentary a must-see.
We can’t wait to see what Demi has in store for us! And in case you missed it, they just released a new song called “Still Alive” that’s on the Scream 6 soundtrack. To promote it, they even recreated a viral meme from their past. Now that’s what we call dedication!
