Buckingham Palace Responds to Allegations of Racial and Status Discrimination In Its Hiring Practices

An expose by The Guardian has claimed that Buckingham Palace has been openly engaging in discriminatory hiring practices in as recent as the 1960s – that supposedly didn’t allow immigrants or people of color from serving in clerical roles for hte Queen.

The Guardian’s report that you can read in full here, claims that new documents show that the Queen and staffers were exempt from the UK’s laws regarding hiring discrimination; and that it went on until “at least” the 1960s.

Buckingham Palace has responded to the allegations with a spokesperson stating to E! News, yes E! News : “Claims based on a second-hand account of conversations from over 50 years ago should not be used to draw or infer conclusions about modern day events or operations.
