Britney Spears’ attorney Samuel D. Ingham III has requested a resignation from the superstar’s conservatorship case only a few hours after her longtime manager Larry Rudolph quit too! Spears’ co-conservator the Bessemer Trust also announced that they would be quitting management of her estate too.
Ingham III was appointed by the court and in documents he filed last Tuesday, he’s requested to step down “upon the appointment of new court-appointed counsel.” Ingham apparently came to the decision after being “upset” over Spears’ bombshell court testimony on June 23. Britney had told the court during her testimony: “Ma’am, I didn’t know I could petition the conservatorship to end. I honestly didn’t know that.”
In November 2020, Ingham revealed that Britney is actually afraid of her father and said that she “will not perform ever again if her father is in charge of her career.” In March 2021, he filed a petition to make 53-year-old fiduciary Jodi Montgomery Spears’ permanent conservator.
