42-year-old ‘Milkshake’ superstar Kelis definitely isn’t a fan of Beyonce today…
The singer just learnt that one of her songs is sampled on Beyonce’s latest record ‘Renaissance,’ and she’s speaking out! Kelis just learnt that Beyonce’s song ‘Energy’ features her own song (Kelis’) from 1999 titled ‘Get Along With You’ off her debut record ‘Kaleidoscope’ and she’s not happy.
Posting to her beauty brand’s Instagram account – bountyandfull – Kelis wrote: “My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding. I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.” In response to a comment from a fan, Kelis also wrote: “It’s not a collab it’s theft.” Kelis also posted a video to her own Instagram account addressing the situation.
