Holy Guacamole! Hold on to your cowboy hats and get ready to shake it off because Taylor Swift has just received the ultimate honor – a city named after her (temporarily, of course)!
Y’all better believe it! The 33-year-old singer is all set to kick off her The Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, and the city just couldn’t resist the urge to rename itself to commemorate the occasion.
Glendale’s Mayor, Jerry P. Weiers, proclaimed with all his might, “Listen up, y’all! On March 17 and 18, 2023, the city of Glendale shall henceforth be known as Swift City! Let all Swifties rejoice and share their contagious smiles on all social media platforms because the best things in life are free, and so is this name change!”
To top it off, digital billboards will be flashing near the State Farm Stadium where the concerts are scheduled to take place, welcoming all Swifties to town with open arms (and cowboy hats).
It’s going to be an epic weekend, folks! Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour is hitting the ground running this Friday and Saturday at the stadium in Arizona. We can’t wait to see which tunes she’ll belt out from her extensive catalog. Get your glitter and cowboy boots ready, people, because Swift City is calling!
