Visitors to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida will now be able to enjoy the luxury accomodations offered by the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts around the world.
The company recently announced that it had secured financing of a $360 million luxury resort set to start construction in December 2011.
The luxury hotel is set to acccomodate 444 rooms and will include a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Magic Kingdom amongst other amenities sucha as a “lazy river” water feature.
The hotel will also accomodate roughly 40 time-share units and 90 Four Seasons private residences.
“This is something that we’ve been very excited about for a long time, so this is exciting for us to get to this milestone,” Scott Woroch, Four Seasons’ executive vice president of worldwide development, said, “And we’re very enthusiastic about being on the cusp of getting shovels into the ground.”
It was the Toronto-based Four Seasons that secured the land to build the hotel in August 2008 at a cost of $51 million from Disney World.
The land where the hotel is set to be built will be on the north-east portion of Disney World right next to the Osprey Ridge golf course which will become a part of the resort as well.
The Four Seasons Disney World is set to be ready for opening by the end of 2014.
