Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Are Going To Make Billions Off Backpacks

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are selling their $39,000 backpacks quicker than they can make them.

“It was the first thing that sold off the shelf,” Ashley told Women’s Wear Daily during Paris Fashion Week.

“During our last economic crisis in the U.S., the only thing that went up was Hermès”, one half of the twin powerhouse added.

Guests at the launch certainly seemed impressed by the goods.

Sipping champagne, shoe God Christian Louboutin barely left the twins side and was later heard saying “I feel very much like a godfather to them.”

In other Olsen news, Mary-Kate and Ashley will be putting an even more fashionable spin on Superga tennis shoes for spring/summer 2012, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

The duo made an unexpected trip to New York so they could support sister Elizabeth Olsen at her Nylon magazine cover party.
